MyKolab.com strongly recommends using Free Software / Open Source applications to connect to the service.

Web Client

The web client is located at webmail.MyKolab.com. If you go to this website, please use the full email address you registered for (for example, john.doe@swissgroupware.ch) and your password to login.


Windows

 

In order to use Mozilla Thunderbird with your MyKolab.com account, please see our dedicated set up instructions for Thunderbird.
Kontact is the original Kolab client. Please see the dedicated page for information about how to set up Kontact with MyKolab.com.

Apple Mac

 

The native OS X Applications like Apple Mail, iCal, Contacts and Reminders can be used with MyKolab.com as well. Please see our instructions for how to set them up.

GNU/Linux

Mobile Devices

If you use an Android device, please see our dedicated page about Android setup instructions!
Users of iOS devices like the Apple iPhone or iPad are asked to have a look at our iOS instructions.

 

For other mobile phones and tablets, it is recommended to use the settings for other clients below to set up an IMAP account in your preferred email app.

For events, tasks and contacts, you can use the ActiveSync protocol. Please create an "Exchange" or "Corporate" account on your device and use activesync.mykolab.com as the server. Please use your full and primary MyKolab.com address as a username.

Another option is to use the CardDAV and CalDAV protocol. Please see below for those.


Other Clients

If you want to use one of the many available clients for Kolab, you can use the following information to configure your client for Kolab:

IMAP Server: imap.mykolab.com Port: 143 + always TLS or Port: 993 + SSL

SMTP Server: smtp.mykolab.com Port: 587 + always TLS

Please use your full and primary address as a username. We offer TLS encryption for the connection to these services and advise to always use it.

Emacs org-mode calendar can be used with your MyKolab calender as well. Please see our instructions for how to set up emacs up with MyKolab.com.
 

 

CardDAV and CalDAV Clients

Please point your CardDAV and CalDAV capable client to either one of these addresses.

For CardDAV:

carddav.mykolab.com

or

https://carddav.mykolab.com/addressbooks/you%40mykolab.com

For CalDAV:

caldav.mykolab.com

or

https://caldav.mykolab.com/calendars/you%40mykolab.com

Files

The easiest way to access your files is using the web client. In the top right corner, you can just choose 'Files'.

You can also use any WebDAV capable client to get access to your files. Just point it to one of the following locations.

https://webdav.mykolab.com
webdavs://webdav.mykolab.com
davs://webdav.mykolab.com

The first should work for most people. Try the others only if the first one does not work for you.
